Quick description.. not that easy to answer, but I'll give it a try

    1. Open document and create parts in part studio
1.1 Select face and create sketch
1.2 Extrude sketch or region of it as part

    2. Use assembly tab to create movement between parts
2.1 Insert parts into assembly workspace (currently only parts in same document)
       2.2 Create mates between parts

    3. Create 2D drawing of part or assembly
3.1 Insert part or assembly in drawing, changes to model applies automatically to drawing views.

Key feature to be aware of is that the Onshape's part studios have been optimised for multi body design and at this stage all para-metric links / relationships between parts are done in the part studio or between part studio's by deriving part from one to another.
