PART STUDIOS
THICKNESS ANALYSIS
A new analysis function enables designers of molded and die cast parts to measure how much material is distributed throughout each region of a part. Only native Onshape parts and mesh model types are supported at this time. Thickness analysis is currently only available for Onshape Enterprise users, but will be available for Onshape Professional and Onshape Education Enterprise users in the near future.SHEET METAL CORNER BREAK
The new Corner break feature combines Fillet and Chamfer features to remove sharp edges on sheet metal corners and corner / bend reliefs.EDIT CURVE
A new Edit curve feature allows you to edit an existing curve by selecting sketch entities or curves to apply a simplified approximation, elevate the degree, reposition control curve vertices, and/or planarize into any 2D plane and all downstream features update automatically to reflect these changes.DIMENSION ENTITY HIGHLIGHTING
Adding dimensions while sketching is now much easier to visualize.DRAWINGS
HOLE CALLOUT TEXT JUSTIFICATION
Hole callouts on a Drawing now provide more control over their appearance.DOCUMENTS
STRUCTURE VIEW
Structure view on the Documents page is now available for all Onshape Professional users. As a reminder, here is an overview of this great feature for navigating released product designs.GENERAL
CUSTOM KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
All commands in Part Studios and Assemblies can now be assigned custom keyboard shortcuts.ACTION ITEMS
The Action items user interface has been reworked to make it easier navigate.FEATURESCRIPT
PERFORMANCE
The latest standard library removes the performance overhead of many of the FeatureScript wrappers around builtin functions.RENDER STUDIO
DECALS
Decals added to a Part in a Part Studio are now imported as an Appearance in Render Studio.
ISOLATE
New Isolate option for Render Studio Parts, Part Studios, or Assemblies. Right-click on one or more entities and select Isolate from the context menu. When Isolate is selected, all selected entities are viewable and all other entities are hidden in the graphics area.RESOURCE VERSION INDICATOR
Resources, such as images used for backgrounds, now have a resource indicator to let you know if they are current or require an update.RESET ALL TESSELLATION
A new Reset all tessellation option, available from the top-level Render Studio in the Scene list, allows you to reset any custom tessellation settings for all entities below back to Auto. Please take a moment to try out these new features and improvements and leave your comments below. For a detailed list of all the changes in this update, please see the changelog.
Remember: The updates listed here are now live for all users when creating new Documents. Over the next few days, these features will also be available in Documents created before this update.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEAI

Wow this is huge one. Many game changers here.
I wish thickness analysis was available for all paid accounts. Does "will be available for Onshape Professional … in the near future" include Onshape Standard?
Curve editing is going to be a lot more fun now. I've been doing an insane amount of projecting curves onto surfaces and then manually rebuilding them with Bridging curves. I do hope that longer term the CV editing includes some NUV and falloff controls.
[edit to add:] I've been playing with Edit Curve for a few minutes while I wait for my main project to update to the latest version. I commented before with control point curve that having the Approximate feature be parametric was critical. Now that some of the best bits of CPC are live as Edit curve, indeed parametric Approximation is great. It creates a bunch of new workflows that I can only begin to imagine.
Sheet metal corner breaks, edit curves, and custom keyboard short cuts - Oh boy, have I been waiting a long time for these. Big time release guys, can't wait to try them out.
Juicy!
That edit curve looks good, especially the part where it keeps the curve ID! I'll have to try that one. Decals in render studio are going to be a big help (anyone who's tried to apply them directly within render studio will know what I mean!)
There are also two lines in the changelog that appear to be aimed specifically at bugs that we have been struggling with so I have high hopes these are going to be fixed!)
Great release! I'm excited about dimension entity highlighting (great quality of life improvement), edit curve, structure view, and sheet metal corner breaks.
Wow! great release. major functionality between the tickness analysis and edit curve feature.
I completely agree with @S1mon that thickness analysis should also come to Onshape Standard. Just like draft analysis, it's kind of a must-have feature for a basic CAD system. A hygiene factor one could call it.
great load of new improvements. Quietly doing a dance here.
Great Update! The first ones I'll have to investigate deeper are certainly Curve Edit and the Structure View. I think there's quite some potential in these.
The curve edit is gonna help me tremendously with my work regarding scan data. Wondering if it would be possible to add the ability to add/remove singular control points on a curve? Some sort of number displayed next to the points in the graphical area would help to know which points I'm editing, that way if I need to delete an override or change it, I know where in the list that override is. Also it would be more handy for me to work with the curve points via spline vs bezier since I'm trying to match scan data. Then I can just get the points as close to the mesh as I need.
Finally, the wall thickness analysis. My company was waiting for it for few years. We make parts for injection molding, this feature is critical for us. Thank you for that feature. When will it be available in Professional licence?
Sheet metal corner break! nice work Onshape!

Why has nobody highlighted the improvement of the year:
Thank you!! I was just working on a project with a decal in Render Studio.
Very happy about the customizable keyboard shortcuts!
Great Update, but I can't seem to filter the Structure View to just one document….I get everything!
Sheet metal and Keyboard Shortcuts are just fab though as is the Curve editing.
Thank you Onshape
CUSTOM SHORTCUTS WOHOOOOOO!
For more details on the new Edit Curve feature, I recommend watching @GregBrown 's video:
This covers all 4 pieces of the feature, but I hope there will be more detailed videos about tips and tricks for the edit points section.
This update is mass banging! Can you top it next realease? keep it rolling!
@GregBrown curve tweaker was far more fun to say than edit curve 😉So happy to see this one come through and with more tools. I'm excited to see try planarize in my designs.
Please continue to review our old requests. I think there are many simple small improvements everyone would benefit from. Non global Point to Plane measurements in assemblies, improve drawing table management and function, improve configuration table management, sketch constrain manager, better assembly mate naming, improve curvature analysis tool with final button to name a few.
…just made to change log. Quite a few fixes that sound like familiar issues. Will check them over next week 😃Thank You
Impressive. Thank you Onshape team!
Have you tried my Radius Plot FS?
Full Custom keyboard shortcuts is fantastic.
Some good quality of life and usability improvements here.
I feel like Onshape is due for a bit of a feature freeze, and spend a solid few months banging out some old but fundamental Improvement requests.
I've come across a few from as far back as 2015 that are basics for a CAD system, but still not implemented.
Although a rebuild of the drawings package instead of continuing to mod what you bought would be one I'd like to see. The impression I get is it's getting left behind because of the structure of it that makes it more difficult to implement improvements.
Some what related:
I did the survey monkey sirvey for you recently, but what wasn't in there (understandably) but would be very valuable for you is why DIDN'T you choose OnShape. Or at least what misgivings you had about adopting it that would've made your decision easier.
Bugginess requiring work arounds and half broken basic funcrionality was definitely the biggest weak point of on-shape. The thoroughness and responsiveness of your customer support won us over in-spite of it.
The only thing better than a fantastic support team is a product that doesn't need support.
If you can eliminate the drawbacks if what exists, that'd do more for us (and your growth) than shiny new headline features.
link to survey?
@josh_targo it was emailed out. It's an indivisual specific link
Why I just can see realesed structures?
It`s nessesary for all! We have so many non realesed assemblies.
We need to see all structures! Please update these feature.
Awesome with the corner break! Being unable to add fillets to the edges of a chamfer and being able to fillet the bend relief are needed features that I just as soon as last week pointed out to our new employee as being some wierd restrictions with sheet metal in onshape.
I'm happy to see those restrictions removed.
There's definitely a lot of useful updates.
Thickness analysis is a must, I do hope for other users to will have this tool available. I have to say it came a long way from early testing and there's huge improvement in time to finish analysis. Now it's more bearable, but if you have some other tweaks in the sleeve, feel free to speed it up even more. :)
Edit curve - it become really nice feature from Routing curve and Control point curve. Will need to test it properly, but it looks promising and easy to use. I would like to highlight this feature will not create a new curve, but only redefine old one. That's awesome! It would definitely be nice to propagate this approach to all features in Onshape. That will lead to more robust designs. Currently for example Extrude will create a Part 1, in the dialog box there's "Faces of Sketch 1" not just Sketch 1. And if you select something else as input, the output Part 1 is different from the first one.
Dimension entity highlighting is nice, useful feature. It would help while rotating the part.
Custom keyboard shortcuts - nice, but I'm still missing "Move rollback bar up/down" and Roll to end/here. Can you look into that as well?
good stuff.
The additional keyboard short cuts are nice but, how come you still haven't let us bind deselect all into the ESC button?
@JosefBurjeta if you click the rollback bar so it turns blue, you can use the cursor up/down butttons.
Sheet metal corner break looks nice! I linke to see that geometry features are starting to make there waying into the flat patteren editing space. I am also very intrigued to start testing out render studio for the performance improvements. Recently, render studios performance for me, has been nearly unbearable and I had basically abandoned it simply because I already have way too many grey hairs! 😄
@NeilCooke I'm aware of that, but it would definitely be nice to have the option for keyboard shortcut for that. No need to move cursor to the tree and keep it in the 3D space.
Same goes for Roll to here & Roll to end. It would be really cool if you could highlight feature in a tree, use keyboard shortcut and have the Rollback bar be moved under such feature. I do realize it will be complicated, but using keyboard shortcuts is way faster than RMB menus. :)
