Why does the sketch stay in the original position when I move a part using "Transform"?
I drew a simple sketch and then extruded to create a part. I then selected the part and used "transform" and the XYZ option to move/relocate it relative to a previously created part in the same studio. If I right click and "show all" I can see the original sketch still located in the original position like a ghost. I know I don't really need to re-locate parts in the part studio, but sometimes it helps me if I keep separate parts aligned in general position they will occupy in the assembly. I also know I can hide the "ghosts" to declutter the screen, but I figure I must be doing something wrong. What am I missing?
I have no training in how to use On-Shape or any other CAD tools but trying to pick it up to use in woodworking projects.
Thanks for any suggestions.

You should generally not be transforming parts in a part studio. That rarely comes up. Model the parts where they will be in the assembly. Then when you create the assembly, the parts will be automatically placed in their correct location.
It sounds from your description that you are modeling multiple parts all on top of each other, then trying to move them out of the way of each other.
Do the training, its super worth it.
Another benefit of modeling parts in their correct assembly location is that you can work In Context much more effectively.
