Imported model stuck to origin

gabriel_easlergabriel_easler Member Posts: 2

I'm trying to make a Coral intake model for FRC, and used the MKCad Deriver tool to import a model of the Coral piece. However, I cannot manipulate or move this piece at all, as it seems to be completely stuck to the origin of my document. I need to be able to move it around and get a good idea of where to put intake wheels/belts. Any solutions?

Adding more stuff should be done in an Assembly, not the Part Studio where the part was imported. You can move stuff wherever you want.

I'd always leave the imported part untouched as it is, then derive it into a Part Studio and work with the derived geometry there, like add features or remove portions of it, then assemble it in an assembly. That way, you can also easyly update the imported model without loosing your work.
