In this instance one is to create a new sketch on the bottom face of your extrude. (Sketches can be created on any planes of flat faces of a part.)
Another is to use the hole tool and create the counterbore with the throughhole.

I'd rather that the original feature be edited to the correct dimension as opposed to 2 features defining one face. Try to keep each created face assigned to one feature. Then when you're editing your model, click a face and the feature tree highlights. If you have 2 features defining a face, you'll only see the last one in the list and it'll be hard understanding your design intent if a face has 2 features creating it. You'll have to dig deep to find the 1st feature.
If I worked on your model and wanted to make a change, the 1ST feature face would be difficult to figure out.

jecomp Member Posts: 4 ✭✭Hi guys, thank you very much, you helped me sort it out. I obviously have to understand more of the way cad is structured and the interaction between features, faces and planes.I was able to deconstruct change the order of the sketches and extrudes and then repair all resulting RED sketches and extrudes. You Guys at Onshape are amazing at what you have created, Thanks again billy2 and Owen_Sparks.-------End Result Below-----0
