Can't open document (Onshape lost connection)

I was in the process of updating a document that I created a few days ago and after a bit I couldn't make anymore changes. I closed the browser (chrome) thinking it would help. So I went back into Onshape (great product BTW) and tried to open the document, it just opened up the top banner bar and the spiny waiting icon just kept spinning unit this error came up.
"Onshape is not connected. Your document is saved. You can refresh the browser to continue working on this document or return to the Documents page."
I decided I was going to try and delete my last few changes from the history but even the history window is bugged out. I click on changes to expand it and nothing happens. It's like the whole document is corrupt. I tried to look at the properties of the document but nothing happens. Just the spiny waiting icon.
Any suggestions on how to recover my document? I could recreate it but would rather not.
Thanks!
