standard content material and mass

bill_danielsbill_daniels Member Posts: 278 ✭✭✭
The insert standard content will be incredibly useful but I find there is one thing I wish for.

My designs use a LOT of fasteners and they add weight.  I need to know exactly how much weight.  Would there be a way to add material properties to the standard content?

@bill_daniels There is already a material selection in the Standard Content insert dialog which does apply a material value and does show up as part of the mass properties.  Is there something else you are looking for?

Lou, I just checked my assemblies and there's no mass assigned to the bolts.

If you pick the component from the tree, and hit Mass properties it should indeed show mass. I just checked and it does not seem to be broken.  If you have an example, please submit a ticket to support so we can look at the document in question.
