How to remove extrude/shell without overhang

Hi, I would like to shell this part in one direction or extrude remove up to the opposing surfaces with an offset. Is there a way to do this easy or any other methods/approaches I should be using to achieve this? The problem I am having is I cant work out a way to hollow out the selected faces without breaking through the opposing side.

Here is how you can do it that way. You create a sketch and create an offset of the face with amount you want to shell by and then do a remove extrude up to next with an offset distance.

Split the part into two parts. Shell each part, and boolean add them back together.

@bladec I didn't realize that "Up to next" would work that way! In fact, I've never found an "up to next" that worked for me, so I always use other workflows.

I have tried this a couple times before, but for some reason it never worked the way I expected. I thought it wasn't possible, couldn't be done. But today, I can see the light of a new dawn.
