Noob needs help, creating a slight countor /curve

aaron_widgeraaron_widger Member Posts: 2

Hi all :)

This is my first model ive made, and I am sure i have done some things wrong and more than open to help. My idea is to 3d test print this and then keep building from here.
one thing im struggling with is I want to add a slight contour or curve to this to match the slight shape a bonnet would have (this is a bonnet vent)

Could anyone help here! tried lots of youtube searching but not sure what or how to go about it.

You can't bend an existing flat part. You have to model it bent. Being that it's you've self designated as a noob. I suspect you will be well served by the tutorials at learn.onshape.com. and exploring the limits and capabilities of all the tools at your disposal.

build the bottom plate according to the contour you'd like with an intersected extrude from the right plane. (is it bent only in one direction?)
then sweep the coutour over that.
Then finish with blends at the end.
