Arranging text in a circular array

hansrudolfhansrudolf Member Posts: 55 ✭✭

Again one of the problems where I found no solution. Not even the AI could help…

I'm trying to set numbers around a circle, so that the text is tangential to that circle. I could draw the rectangles which should contain the text, but when I try to set the text it comes up in some oblique angle

I hope it is clear what I mean.

Thanks for your help

Perhaps the feature script discussed in this post might be applicable. - Scotty

Many thanks Scotty, your answer hit the nail on the head. After some experimenting with the parameters in that script, I got a perfect result.

This success begs the question: is there somewhere in Onshape a (searchable) library of all feature scripts? How should a user find a script that he might need?

    Kind regards,

Here is one resource. Have fun. Perusing the site is intriguing.

There is a search tool within a document

@hansrudolf You can also try fs.place. It's not heavily used but I keep posting it so that people will slowly start adding their FS there.

Well, that's great. I already have seen scripts which could be useful for me.

I just hope I remember all this - but the forum entries seem to stay forever.

Thank you all, and kind regards
