Sending a message to the owner

Hi when finding something useful among the public documents I'd like to send a message to the owner like asking for permission to use the design or propose a collaboration.
How can I do that?

Unfortunately, there is no way to do that - it would definitely be useful for collaboration. Content in Public documents is public domain so you don't need the owner's permission to use it. However, we have no control over what content is being uploaded and whether it is infringing somebody else's copyright.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA1

^ what Owen said. By default, the first tab is the one that is displayed when first opened, so if you put a PDF there, everyone will see it (Feature Studios do not display on mobile). You can also add information to the Document properties (in hamburger menu top left) that will display in the Document info panel on the Documents page, but that is not as obvious,Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA6

FYI for everyone posting links in this thread, the `/e/aa112233bb4455` portion identifies the tab, so once you copy and paste that, everone who clicks it is always going to go to the tab you were currently on when you copied the URL. If you just go to say:
https://cad.onshape.com/documents/ea73831031c68a9ca068365e
The system will have to infer a tab for you.

It's a bodge but you can use "FeatureStudios" to store plain text.If you use the comment tags /* and */ at the start and end of the text then OS won't try and covert it into featurescript.Alternatively use a link tab to an external document that holds this info, or a PDF tab internally.The harder part is making it obvious to the user that this information exists. By default if you open tte document from the Onshape document browser. A link will take you directly to the tab it was created from.0

But I realized that you don't give view access to public documents. If thats the case, it is A GREAT PITY (I guess google documents beat you on that ;-)0 -

I'm pretty sure this is how it should work: if you've never opened a doc before, it will open at the first tab. If you have, it will open the last tab you had open. If you click a link it will go to the specific tab.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA0

If I search FeatureScripBelt and open it, it opens first tab
