Loft between part with inner loop

I have this part which is a frame, I am trying to create a loft with guides, from the part to the area of a sketch.

Apparently I'm not allowed to use a face with inner loop.

What should I do? I can see that I could make a filled part then Shell, but it fills a little hacky. Should I create surfaces separately?

Here is the project: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/fbd4e81d03f9c041891a1afd/w/dcd79ae0f0434dba47b87263/e/770cdc1a587f3685892dbd1a

Unfortunately, that never works as you would expect. Loft the outside, then loft the inside and remove.

If you want constant wall thickness, lofting a solid piece and then shelling is actually a better way to go that lofting the whole thing and then subtracting another interior loft.  It just matters what geometry you're after though.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't have much luck with Shell :(

@Jake_Rosenfeld oh, and shelling does leave a root on the part, I don't want that.

Not sure what you mean by a root?  Could you show a picture?

Perhaps you need to select both ends in shell feature.

    *roof, sorry.

@lana, thank you for understanding what I meant, not what I wrote :)
