The project is a scooter build

I am trying to extrude a line to create the neck of the scooter, the line can be seen to the front. The extrusion will be in the shape of a square to create a square neck. The neck is to be at 45 degrees so should the line be. My concerns are I) is this the right approach? 2) if 1) is true how do i get a 45 degree line at the midpoint of the tip?  Please help.

Did you see this reply to your other thread help?

With the extra description you have above, I am not sure what you are after for the location.  The line is probably not needed.  You can just make the Mate connector at the base of your square neck.  Then extrude that.  I have modified my copy of your document here.  Just kind of guessing what you want.  Please explain further if needed (a sketch is always helpful)

Just review the 3 features - you may be able to simplify this by using a Implicit Mate Connector.  Mate Connectors are pretty awesome little guys.

Note also the Extrude has a 2nd direction going the same way as first.  That is how you can offset the end from the Extrusion plane.

I was about to post another beautiful tutorial gif, then I looked up and saw that @bruce_williams has already answered this question. Your too good Bruce!

Bruce's comments are a perfect method for doing what you need and great modeling advice for keeping your document clean and professional. For more options I will go ahead and post the method I was going to show:
    • Extrude the top sketch of the main frame separately using the custom feature Extrude Separate by @Jake_Rosenfeld
    • Create a side sketch of the neck with the lines at 45 degrees (if you need it to be diagonal, and 45, use the plane feature to create a 45 degree plane on the front edge of your frame. Then, create a diagonal square sketch and extrude that.)
    • Extrude the neck as a new part
    • Shell all of the parts

Yes but I will try to get that pole at a 45 degree angle.

Nice job @MichaelPascoe!  I am always learning something from you.

@mario_darceuil Please do some sketch if we are not guessing correctly on what you are after.  And let us know where you need help after reviewing the docs Michael & I shared.

    Thanks Bruce.

    @mario_darceuil
To extrude the neck as a diagonal square tube at 45 degrees, try something like this:
    • Create a plane by line angle using the plane feature
    • Create a sketch on that plane where you can draw the diagonal square
    • Extrude the diagonal square
