Plane orientation
Do planes have a hidden mate that allows you to change their orientation? I tried creating a 3-point plane both ways, but the plan is "off axis" (aligned to the edge of the pyramid, I assume) no matter what I try. The same is tru if I simply create a sketch on the pyramid's face. But at least with a sketch I can manipulate…

Erratic behaviour of Fastened Mate Connector on a Parametric Roof
Hello. I'm trying to assemble a "parametric" roof for a building. In the Variable Studio there are several variables that should control the roof geometry.…

How do I correct holes that are on the wrong axis?
Thanks to some previous help here, I have managed to cut some holes using the hole tool but depending on the orientation of the part the holes end up incorrectly positioned. Not actually an issue currently as I will always work in one plane but I would love to make the feature universal for future proofing. Correct holes:…

Click and Drag
I can't believe I have to ask this, but how do you move an object from one location to another? I have a 3D object, and its in an awkward position on the grid. I want to move it to a more comfortable spot but the bloody thing won't cooperate. Please don't tell me it's stuck there.

orienting helix spring in Assembly
I created a spring (well, I copied it actually, then modified), but adding to an assembly was a little problematical. Mmm...not so much the addition , but getting it aligned. The final spring object has no concept of the main coil axis. Now, I want it aligned around a rod, so how do I get the spring to have a central axis…

Revolve around Document or Object Access ?
I'm trying to rotate a portion of a sketch. When using the rotate tool, it asks me what axis i want to rotate around. I really want to rotate around the objects own center point Z axis and/or the origin Z axis (as the object is aligned to the origin). If I'm understanding this correctly, I need a sketch line or part line…

Plane Axis orientation
@ilya_baran Lets say you have created a plane "Plane 2" as shown below. now as you see the plane created in in the same axis orientation of the Global X and Y axis even tough I have used the edge of the extrude to define the rotating axis. I want the plane to be oriented in such a way that the axis system of "Plane 2"…
