Re: '123D Make'-'Slicer' equivalent frame/slot featurescript?
As Stvn said above, a radial option would be amazing. I was just wondering if you could add a separately define section number and spacing and whether to start at an edge or center. The change I'd like to make is currently you can only define the number of slices and it will do that both directions. I would like to define… -
How do you manage purchased assembled parts (such as bearings) as a single part for BOM purposes?
I import bearing 3D CAD models from various vendors on Traceparts, etc. Bearing Vendors generally supply 3D Cad Models as assemblies (perfectly logical). This is an issue with the CAD packages I use, (SW & Onshape). I want a simple ball bearing assembly to appear on a Parts List BOM a single purchased part, rather than a… -

Re: Example of FeatureScript functions in Variable features?
setVariable(context, "sm", function(x) { return x + 1; } ); // Works setVariable(context, "sm-guage", function(x) { return SM_Table[x].Size; } ); // doesn't work It won't let me read from a map though :( Otherwise it would be handy to make a toolkit FS that holds a bunch of common functions as vars. for example, the pitch… -
Re: What is the best way to offset vectors depending if they're positive or negative?
This is indeterminate (no answer): This is determinate, but I have another piece of info (rectangle center): But what's X or Y? Is it +X or -X? Depends on which quadrant you're in. It's based on the transformation they used to get you into a sketch. I think you're going to have a real mess on your hands keeping all this… -
Re: How do you write an app?
@oleg_shilovitsky Yes, I create multipart studios and some parts have coordinate Z as thickness and some doesn't. But 99,9% of cases Z is the smallest dimension - now we are left with figuring between X and Y: - If X = smallest --> X=Z and Z=X - If Y = smallest --> Y=Z and Z=Y So we just need to flip between smallest and Z… -
