Passing configured dim from part to sub to full assembly?
Hi All, newbie here but I'm loving this platform. I'm trying to put a bunch of subassemblies in a line in an assembly and I want the space between them to be even despite their varied sizes so that they look nice and neat. The math is 1/2(width of part n + width of part n+1) = spacing. I have all my widths defined in a… -
How to define and use simple custom design check rules?
Is there a way to define and use at least simple design rules to check my model against? For instance, it would be beneficial to define a few rules like the following ones (with an example for the limit values): * minimum wall thickness = 0.1 mm * minimum embossed detail (high) = 0.6mm * minimum embossed detail (width) =… -
Re: A few expression tips.
You can also nest conditionals by placing another complete conditional statement in either the true or false positions. I suggest using parentheses around the second statement (may even be necessary) for readability. #width<4?1:(#width>4?3:2) This example sets the value to 1 if width is less than 4, 2 if equal to 4, and 3… -

Equation's in measurements involving variables
Equations should be possible inside of measurements. If a project is variable and you know the scale such as identical shapes that have different sizes, you should be able to input that into measurements. examples width 3x length 5x If I say that the x is equal to 1000 width will be 3000 and length will be 5000
