Re: Issue with Import of STP files
@ paul_howard263 , For me importing from other software(like NX and Solid works)and importing into Onshape works fine.if i create 1in x 1in x 1in block after exporting into Onshape will give value 25.4 mm x 25.4 mm x 25.4 mm.If i want it in Inch i can change work space unit to in so that it will be 1 in x 1in x 1in block.… -
Re: Minimum Mate Limit Should be Smaller than Maximum Limit
Consider the following: min = 0 max = -600 if ( x >= min && x <= max) // this says x can only be a value between min and max lets set x = -10 for example and re-write the equation keep in mind, both sides of the && symbol must be true for the IF statement to be valid if ( -10 >= 0 && -10 <= -600) -10 >= 0 (false) -10 <=… -

Re: In Part/assembly properties allow part number to be a formula
you can do this today very easily with featurescript. I've done something like this before so it renumbered my entire project. Basically for the fields here you jut make variables Here is some base code to get you started: FeatureScript 1403; import(path : "onshape/std/geometry.fs", version : "1403.0"); annotation {… -
FeatureScript Parametric Surface and Curve: Can't change equation Z = f(x,y), X,Y,Z = f(t)
I've been playing with Parametric Surface and Parametric Curve. I am unable to change the equation Z = f(#x, #y) or X = f(#t), etc. I can change min,max x,y or t I can change number of curves/points I can hide/show curves I can visualize before and after using the slider ... but when I change the equation the surface/curve… -
Hole Tool & Chamfer Upgrade?
Would be nice to have a hole tool. Something with a standard library of diameters, and having toggles like counterbore, countersink, drill hole profile, etc. Also, i'm sure it's being worked on but I haven't seen it mentioned yet - There needs to be more options for the chamfer, such as D X D, D1 X D2, Angle X D, etc. -
Re: how to make a variable feature with multiple variables
Not sure what was causing the trouble before. In any case, I only copied the code that was necessary. BTW, please keep in mind that 12 and 12in are two different values -- one is a number and one is a length. So if #x is 12, you can use #x deg as the angle of a revolve (and typing #x there will automatically add the deg),… -
Changing configuration of individual parts in an assembly linear pattern?
Hi i have a made a PART which uses configuration variables in part studio. I want to insert that part into an assembly and pattern out an array of say 5 x 5 copies of PART. I then want to change the configuration of each of the instances of PART in the assembly to be different? this is basic stuff in SolidWorks but does…
