How do I remove a portion of an extruded face, but not all of it.

john_mcclary Member, Developers Posts: 3,938 PROBecause the rear face is larger than the front face, I'd start with the rear face and draw a triangle section to remove, then extrude/remove out

Something like in the picture attached.
If I delete the faces then I am left with a hollow section and I can't work out how to do have keep the sloping face solid. I have posted the url to the document below:

1 draw a sketch on the flat front face of your part
2 Project the outline of the face with the "Use" feature.
3 Add a line in the sketch where your want the cut.
4 extrude the triangular sketch region with the following parameters "remove" "up to face" and select the back face of that tab.
Does that make sense? If not I'm sure someone will demonstrate.
