Import textured NURBS surface from rhino

When I import a textured NURBS surface from rhino, it's just black surface.

Is this supposed to work?

No, Onshape does not support colouring faces.

    By coloring you mean texture?

I have a terrain with map texture. This is not possible to get into onshape?

Correct - a texture is just a fancy colour.

Ok, is this something which is planned, cause I'd like to draw my house on some terrain?;)

Coloured faces yes, textures I don’t think so. Search the improvement requests.

We will have textures at some point, I'm sure of that. but it is not being implemented at the same time as face colors.

Is there some way I can match an image with a surface, then, in the meantime?

you will need to eyeball it.
Images are just pixels, they have no geometry to attach to.

You can place a point on a reference in the image (again, you will need to eyeball this)
Then dimension it to the edge of the image border.
Then you can snap that point to your geometry

The image and the surface were generated at the same time in GIS software, so they are absolutely identical in size and match perfectly.

The question is more how I can snap the image to the edge of the surface?

In that case. Put a dim on the image (to preserve its size) DimA, and maybe add a second dim (to preserve its aspect ratio) DimB.

Then make the two points i marked green coincident.

I put a construction attached to the rectangle  then fix the end point . This allows me to center the image and expand about the end point. If you delete the automatic horz constraint, you can also rotate the image. Remember you can drag the image past itself to mirror the image.

After all this, I rarely drag an image to size, rather I'll constrain it with to rotation & position dimensions. I'd rather dial the numbers in vs. dragging them. With the cursor over the numbers, you can spin increment the numbers. Controlling the image placement with a mouse is easier.

This is still not possible three years later?;)

No, because it has zero priority.
