Place a point to dimension to in 2d drawing

Hi ,
I want to place a point to dimension to in 2d drawings. The shown combustion chamber axis and spark plug axis make 20 degrees to each other. I want to dimension from the intersection of the centre lines and the faces shown. How do I do this. There is no point to snap to.

Can you use virtual sharp?

John, I tried that. The virtual sharp only recognises flat surfaces in the model.

Create a sketch in the Part Studio with the point you need then right-click the drawing view and “show sketches”

Hi Neil. I have put a point where I need it in the model sketch. What do you mean by right click in the drawing view? Right clicking in the 2D drawing does not produce a "show sketches".

Is it a part or an assembly in the view?

It is a section view of a part.

Sorry it didn’t occur to me that it was a section view - sketches are not yet supported in section views. 

EDIT: actually they are supported just checked.

You may be able to create a thin surface and have it be your reference point

I was able to show sketch "Spark Plugs 1" to get the point to dimension to (however there are other sketch entities in the sketch that are not needed, therefore you may want to create a separate sketch specifically for this purpose).

Niel, you legend! All sorted. I was right clicking outside the drawing view area.
