Whew, made it..! Here is my entry:
Initially, I modeled a single bristle in great detail, then used the assembly and sub assembly approach. This was too much for the assembly to handle, so I kept the assembly approach and reduced the bristles and branches to literally flat rectangular surfaces. This was ok for the assembly, but I could not get render studio to focus, it was always blurry. This led me to further simplification and no assembly. The tree is mostly made up of arced blocks with flat sides for the branchlets and the branches. There is a single branch part studio that can adjust to any length via configurations. This was inserted into the tree part studio using a variable curved spiral pattern technique. Finally, I was able to get RS to focus on these greatly simplified parts. I don't have access to RS on this account, so I derived it into my enterprise account for the renders.

We planned to have them put their own ornaments on the tree, but I ran out of time. We can use this tree for next years ornament festival lol.
Super stoked for OS Live tomorrow! Gonna be great.

I'm getting excited for the next battle. Should produce some amazing renders as it will be right up Render Studio's alley. It will be less difficult than the Christmas tree I didn't realize how tough this one was going to be; it was not my intent.

I already have a theme for the next battle however, post your ideas here anyways, I would love to see what people are interested in battling.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to complete the Christmas tree rendering challenge. The task proved to be quite complex, and I struggled to find an efficiently way to create all the necessary parts. Additionally, time became a major issue, which made it even more challenging.
However, I had an idea that might help us in future Render battles. Perhaps we could use a public Onshape model as a starting point for our next challenge. This way, we could focus more on the rendering process itself, rather than the creation of the 3D model.

This one was a bit too challenging. It seemed so simple as a concept. It did help us find some of Onshape's limits in this way. Now we can stay clear of them.
Using public models is a good idea, though it's more impressive if it is all inside Onshape. Also, I don't like having to explain to people: "Yes they rendered that! No, they didn't model it ".
Would this make me an Onshape purist?

Yes, that would only be intended as an emergency solution, if someone has no time to model, but find a self-construct also better.

Here is my vote:
+1 for @emagdalenaC2i's Christmas tree ladder. Those are some sweet renders. Nice detail on the lights, ornaments, and gifts below the "tree".
