Hey Onshape users,

You might have noticed that every Tuesday, we post a new Tech Tip on our blog. You might have even downloaded our first volume of Tech Tips.

We're working on bringing you a second volume soon! But in order to do that, we'd like to know what you want to learn. Is there something you'd like help learning? Do you have a tip we haven't covered yet? 

We'd love for you to share your thoughts and ideas. Just respond to this post with ideas and topics you'd like to see featured in our next volume of Onshape's Greatest Tech Tips.

Tech tips

• Add and edit formulas in a dimension with and without variables (Example: a conveyor system)
  
• Concept of region at sketch level
  
• Create an array or mirror of sketches, curves and planes
• Create a spiral staircase with an array of one or more incremental variables (VarA = #VarA + 10)
• Performance tests in asembles compared to traditional CAD systems

Think ahead.....

Arrays and Linear patters don't transfer when you move parts in an assembly to a sub-assembly. If you know you're going to be creating a sub-assembly and it's going to have an array of linear pattern, make the sub-assembly first then do the array.

Or you'll be doing it twice......
