chamfer

Hello, I tried to add chamfers to this repeated feature but for some reason they look different on the bottom pair of spokes. I checked to see if I missed something on these spokes or added something the others don't have, but I swear they're all identical. Why is this happening? Is this a bug, or is there something…

Hey Guys, Im new to 3D modeling and want to create a variable chamfer on this peice. I'd like the top point to have a wider chamfer, and taper to a more narrow chamfer on the bottom point. I wouldnt even know where to begin on this. Ive included an image of a similar profile using the fillet tool, but I want it to be a…

Link to Feature A common problem with 3d printed models (FDM) is that a fillet on the build plate ends up looking ugly because the printer cannot print a horizontal overhang. Usually, if you are designing a 3d printed part, you then use a chamfer on the bottom face because most FDM printers can print at least a 45 degree…

Hello. I would like to draw a Z shape table. Here are the calculated angles and sizes. But when I set the sizes and angles in OnShape I've got a really different format. I use part chamfer angle and size settings. Here is my drawing link:…

Hello! Have a problem with continues chamfer on the edges after Boolean operation. On the screen you can see the different width, can't solve it for days, the only way I found is to create first chamfer shape (3rd screen) with Loft and after vertical edges will Chamfer ok, but it is a very tedious way. I tried to connect…

Hi, I use onshape to design woodworking projects. We woodworkers often create a chamfer that does not apply to the entire length of an edge. We very often prefer a smooth transition from a perfectly square edge to a chamfer. This treatment is very common on table legs for example. For illustration please follow this URL:…

I am messing around in feature script and have tried to chamfer the edges of extruded text, highlighted here. It fails on any piece of text that has a vertex with edges at less than 90 degrees. Is there another method I could use to achieve this?

Hello I am currently working on two rectangular shapes where one is angled to the other by 15 degrees. I just need now to have some sort of bend on each corner to have a smooth connection. I tried to fillet/loft them but it just won't connect as smooth as possible. I am quite new to CAD sorry if this is obvious.…

Novice: I have a conical shape made with a "Revolve -> Surface" and then "Thicken" the surface. Now I want to chamfer (or fillet) the edges coming from the "Thicken". Now the Chamfer works, but the original surface still remains. Is that a bug, or did I make the conical shape in the wrong way ? Zoom in on "Chamfer 1" and…

So this may be stupidity (or OnShape noobness) on my part, but I can't chamfer an edge in the image below; all the other edges took a chamfer or fillet as needed. There is no error that I can see, and sometimes it shows a preview briefly of a chamfer or fillet (I tried both) but it goes away shortly after appearing. I…

Hello, I've been trying to locate the chamfer callout dimensioning tool. Typically, one sees something like .03 x 45° with a leader. While I could create a note, I was hoping for an associative method, so if I changed the model, the drawing would also update. Thank-you, - Gerry
