Transforming a Sketch when drawing on Ipad
Hi all, I am trying to move a sketch while drawing on the Ipad app. Does anyone know how to move the sketch? I am unable to find the transform tool on the Ipad version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Combine a square and circle sketch shape
New to OnShape, new to CAD. I've drawn a circle and a square to define a shape that I want to extrude. What I can't figure it out his how to perform a boolean or to combine the circle and the shape to define my desired face that I can then extrude. A picture is worth a thousand words... I drew this (two separate sketch…

Can I export flat sketches as a drawing?
Hello! I've only been using Onshape for a few months (off and on) so I only really know the basics. I am working on a project where I draw out plans, print them out, tape them to a sheet of foam, and cut them out. Unfortunately I cannot seem to find a on option to export sketches as flat, 2D drawings without first…

Multiple parts from the same sketch in part studio
Hi all, I have a sketch of the face for an aluminium profile which I now want to extrude to four (or multiple) parts of different lengths. The idea being that each of these lengths of alu extrusions will then be used multiple times in an assembly to build a frame. Since the profile face is the same, my expected flow would…

A coincident constraint cannot be applied to two curves of different types - (?)
I am attempting to project a hole pattern from one bracket to another using in-context editing of the part. I created the sketch of the 2nd bracket using coincident line constraints to the 1st bracket which worked great with straight lines but not with holes. In the past, I had just sketched a circle and constrained it to…

Does Onshape have an automatic constraint functionality similar to Inventor?
So, let's say you've got a complex .dwg that you just want to import because you're too lazy to simplify it... in Inventor you'd just autoconstrain the whole shebang and you're off to the fully-defined races... and can delete constraints as you need later on. Anything like that in Onshape, and if not, might it conceivably…

Spline sketching problem.
When trying to constrain a spline somewhere along its middle
(such as: pass through a point, or even worse – also tangent to, say, a
horizontal line through that point) - I find myself fighting a disturbing dependency
between the two spline's end curves guides. How can I free that dependency? Thank you Avshalom.

Mouse Interface
All documentation I could find shows example using coordinates, like rectangule vector (0,0) vector (1,1), but if I want the user to select with the mouse the first and second point How can I do that?

Sketch won't show -- how to remedy.
The object was to create a surface loft between two splines using two guide curves. The first guide curve was already in existence. I created two planes, and on them drew two splines. Then I created a third plane and drew the second guide curve. I wanted the end of one splined to coincide with one end of the guide curve. I…

Multiple instances of a shape within a sketch?
I have an edge detail that I want to place at several locations around the perimeter of a non-circular part. I can use a linear sketch pattern to place this detail in multiple places along one edge of the part, but is there a way to replicate that shape along other edges without having to draw and dimension the detail…

Simple Rotate
Hello All, This is a very simple question. If I have drawn a shape and I want to copy and paste said shape somewhere else but rotated 37 degrees. How do I go about doing this. I cant seem to find the rotate button. Thank you

Some tips to create sketches without projecting the part edges
Hi all, I would like to share some tips which could minimize the additional task of projecting the part edges wherever possible. According to my CAD experience I generally avoid projecting the part edges since for some reason projected sketches may fail in later stage due to changes in other geometries. In other CAD tools…
