Configuration variables lead to the error: onshape_client.oas.exceptions.ApiException: (404)
Hello everyone, I get the following error message when I try to export an stl-file with the onshape-client: onshape_client.oas.exceptions.ApiException: (404) Reason: Not found This error only occurs if the configuration variables have values that differ from the defined default value. There are 5 different configuration… -
Re: Tutorial on stick framming?
@nick_papageorge073 is right. The Frame feature handles custom profiles. So you can make your own wood profiles for it. I'm not sure of a tutorial specifically for this, but you can make an improvement request here. Here are the features that will be useful for building a structure like this:* Variable * Measure variable *… -
Re: Changing configuration of individual parts in an assembly linear pattern?
Thank you very much for the reply. I have managed to do what you suggested in your first paragraph and inserted new instances of parts into the assembly and then configured them individually (annoyingly there does not appear to be a way to rename each part in the assembly without having the name change for all of them,… -
Changing variable value breaks sketches inconsistently
Hi, In modeling a parametric box design, I encountered some weirdness when working with variables to control the boxes dimensions. Basically, when I change a parameter / variable like the box height, it often breaks one of the sketches. However, if I go into the affected sketch and do a slight change, like adding 0.1mm to… -
parts with variable parameters for use in assemblies
Hi all,I was wondering if there is a way to "lock" a variable in a part somehow and then to create another part with a different value for that same variable? The reason is I would like to use the same basic part in one assembly but use different lengths for instance. Every time you change the variable in the part studio,… -
assembly configuration based on configuration list values/input.
Hello Is it possible to drive a certain value in an assembly based on the input of (several) configuration variables. (or better yet, the chosen value in a configuration list input). best would be to drive variables that can be used throughout the assembly (but those are global variables or "variable studio variables" and… -
Re: Table (New Custom Feature!)
This featurescript works pretty well - the main issue I'm having is that when I enter in an expression into a cell sometimes the expression or variable gets erased and replaced with a static value (usually the last value of that specific variable when I edited the table). Is there any way to prevent my formulas or… -
configuration variables vs variable studio.
hope this is the right place for feedback on functionality of OS? The situation: If there is a configuration variable with the same name as a variable in the variable studio, the studio varable will get overwriten by the configuration variable (to me, in assembly variables, this is DESIRED behaviour) other studio variables… -
Can a variable in a Part Studio be used in an Assembly?
The documentation page for Variable Table (Part Studio) says: A Variable table is created in a document and the variables therein are immediately available for use in all Part Studios and Assemblies in that document workspace. But the only way I've found to use variables in an assembly is to use a Variable Studio. It does… -
Re: Why Doesn't my Variable Studio work in this document assembly and part studio??
(Before you deleted the Variable Studio) the Part Studio had its own local variables that were overriding the ones imported from the Variable Studio. Delete the variable features. For reference, if you look at an overridden variable in the variable table, you'll see an info icon that points this out.
