+1 for me with sheet metal. I absolutely need this and would like to think it's on Onshape's list of additions. However at the moment I think there are higher priorities. If sheet metal is 1-2 years away not sure what I am going to do to fill the gap while waiting.

    +1 for sheet metal.
I already could do a lot with a base flange, edge flanges and unfold.

+1 for sheetmetal would be one feature that one main competitor fusion 360 are lacking. With basic sheet metal tools and drawings available basic commercial mech design work would be possible.

+1 When sheet metal and drawings are published, machine industry and engineering companies start to test Onshape in their projects.

I regularly make use of sheet metal, this would be essential for me.

    +1, Same here.

Usually, sheet metal uses same algorythm as features that modify solid bodies, like twist and bend. As they are not yet implemented, it might take a while to get these new features.

I would like to design sheet metal parts any time and any place with onshape. I offer my services to help test the functions for sheet metal in a real world environment.

This was a real pain. But it can be done. I'm asking for a trimmed surface from a sketch (basically an extrude with no thickness). With this I can quickly layout a sheet metal part and then thicken the surface into what you see. Turns out I do the same thing in SW even though I have all those fancy sheet metal icons. I think sheet metal as surfaces and then thicken is faster and more robust than the traditional sheet metal features.

I figure this will get shot down, but just think about it.

I unfolded this in SW, I would like unfolding added to OS. And while you're in there adding unfold, create a surface flatten tool also. SW should have been able to flatten a surface.
