Feature Request: accepting "#" (hash) for directly typing sizes and using variables

Currently when drawing something in a sketch like an line you can directly type an number and it will size your thing to that size.


But you cannot type "#" (hash) directly to use variables for that sizing, it just gets ignored. You first have to type an number:


delete that and now you can type the "#" for starting with variable names. 


The fastest way to use variables for me is typing "0", backspace and then I can write "#" in it.
This is very annoying especially because I like to use variables for nearly everything.

Please make that you can type # directly.
