How do I correct holes that are on the wrong axis?
Thanks to some previous help here, I have managed to cut some holes using the hole tool but depending on the orientation of the part the holes end up incorrectly positioned. Not actually an issue currently as I will always work in one plane but I would love to make the feature universal for future proofing. Correct holes:…

Use Hole Callout on holes created in FS
Is there any way to create holes in FS such that they can utilise the Hole Callout feature in a drawing?

Hollowing out a convoluted cylinder
Was hollowing out this lens barrel, making progress. But for some reason, I can't seem to get the last bit (towards the right-hand side of the images below). Any ideas? Here it is looking up the barrel. https://cad.onshape.com/documents/b4b4261f4f1c26e011a77dbf/w/1b735737fb7eeb1a46eac899/e/aad0b319e095bf2cff3162c5

Countersinks/Counterbore in sheet metal
I don't know about others but I mainly build sheet metal from the start. I try not to use the conversion. I am in fabrication so it only makes sense to me to do it this way. Is there a reason that the holes become the size of the countersink/counterbore diameter in sheet metal? I basically HAVE to use the conversion and…

Countersink head size for M4.5 is not correct
I think the numbers provided by the hole wizard are not correct for Countersink ISO Clearance M4.5 Close clearance M4: hole=4.3 head=8.96 Close clearance M4.5: hole=4.8 head=4.8 <--Head size: 7.5? Close clearance M5: hole=5.3 head=11.2 Normal clearance M4: hole=4.5 head=8.96 Normal clearance M4.5: hole=5 head=5 <--Head…

Two hole patterns in same part
I have a part (essentially a flange) with two concentric rings of countersunk holes. The hole patterns are countersunk from opposite sides of the part. Making the part model was easy but when I create a drawing, the hole labeling function only works for one ring of holes. I can label one ring of holes or the other but not…

To Merge Extrude or not to Merge
Would other users find it useful if "Extrude" type functions were merged? This would give you the option / advantage of toggling between a related but different feature functions without having to suppress / delete and add the other feature as necessary. For example if you chose "Extrude with draft" then at a later stage…

Making a hole through several independent parts
Hi, I don't manage well to make a whole through several parts. I have several parts in top of other, each one has its separate layer rsp sketch . Eventually I would like to make a hole through all parts. The holes must also appear as hole in the plan indicating all dimensions. When I do as described, I manage to make a…

How do I cut a hole through the curved surface of a cylinder (Newb)
Hi, I'm trying to cut a through hole through the curved face of a cylinder. So far I have drawn a circle and a radius. Extruded the circle. Created an offset plane tangential to the surface (is that the right way to go?) Using the Hole tool, select the vertex of the radius on the offset plane but the hole keeps going…

How do you define and make non-circular holes?
Is it possible to define a custom hole shape (i.e. non-round, non-cylindrical) to make a hole in a solid?

How do I pattern points in a sketch?
OK, I've worked out how to pattern holes (now that the basic hole tool is available). You need to select all the "faces" that make up the hole including the cylinder, bottom of the hole, and any chamfer to the top of the hole you may have added. However in trying to work out how to add points to allow the hole feature to…
