revision

Hi, Can I keep an historic of the drawing revisions on my drawing ? (not just the first and the last) Here is an example:

I need the ability to make a drawing of an already released file with a new exploded assembly view. I do not want to update the revision of the part when I want to add multiple views to the already existing part. For example, I have an assembly that is at Rev 1.4. I'm using this assembly in multiple larger assemblies. All…

Hi guys I'm struggling with getting the revision number on my drawings since I activated the pro-license. When releasing a drawing together with the part both revision numbers are changed. But the revision number is not loaded into the drawing: only a "-" is showing. But when making a version of the part first and then…

Is there a way to add the name of the current version (or Main) to a drawing? I see the ability to add various properties in a Note (and "revision" looks really attractive) but none of them look like the versioning info. People never remember to update the revision manually but they do version for sharing. Alternatively, a…

I know you can select 1 drawing - click revision history and download the latest revision 1 by one (this is not a productive use of time so it is not viewed as a reasonable option) I know you can select 1 drawing - click revision history - view release and click the download button for all the drawings in that release one…

When I release a drawing, the assembly is understandably also bumped in revision. However, in my attempts to release assembly drawings so far, I am always forced to update each component in that assembly and any subassemblies. This is causing releases to components that have not actually changed. Is there a way to prevent…

Onshape, thanks for the Export Rule update! This will be a big time saver for us. I was setting the rules, and found the Revision Property is empty by default. There is a box to set the Default value in the Revision Property in Company Settings, but it is greyed out. We would like it to be 0 (zero) bij default to have a…

I like the fact that drawings and parts have different part and revision numbers in our system. But, why am I forced to release a part in order to release a drawing, for which, the part has not been modified. It seems part of the advantage of released the parts separate from drawing would be in this specific case, the part…

Hello I have a part that I want to edit I wish to add some sketch elements (shapes) to an existing sketch and then add new extrusions from them However, when I add new elements, Onshape does its own " Guesswork " about the new element and screws up all the original extrusions. For example, i might add a circle to an…

I want to extract a sketch from an old Revision. I looked for alternatives: 1. make a copy, but then it doesn't copy the revision history 2. enter an old revision, but I can't move a tab from the revision to a new document What is the proper procedure here? Also, when I right click a revision, it says "branch to create…
