Parts in Part Studio not showing up in Assembly
Some of the siding pieces on my model are not showing up in my Assembly view. If you look on the left side right almost even with the top of the window, the siding pieces are missing. https://cad.onshape.com/documents/6e8ae4d5888348888a640bb8/w/6e10234a35662886ff648f5a/e/edd8c80a039596f5197a4fc0

Tangent propagation for tangent mate in assemblies only extends to first neighbour??
When I toggle the tangent propagation button, only the first neighbours are accepted. Is this expected? https://cad.onshape.com/documents/b181d39705817b200bf1602b/v/079b90f98c97cdd36aaafb20/e/24bb9164acca20d59274486c?configuration=default&renderMode=0&uiState=664c5d6e684f1d116b1ba851

mate connector based on other mate connector in assembly
Is it possible to create a mate connector based off another mate connector in assembly? in part studio you could either use a custom feature like multimateconnector or use transform to move and copy the original mateconnector. problem with transform however its no loger linked to the owner part of the original mate…

My option to make an exploded view is greyed out in the assembly
For some reason, I am unable to make an exploded view, as the option is completely greyed out. Here is a picture of the assembly if that helps at all. (Don't think about my mate usage too much lol)

assembly configuration based on configuration list values/input.
Hello Is it possible to drive a certain value in an assembly based on the input of (several) configuration variables. (or better yet, the chosen value in a configuration list input). best would be to drive variables that can be used throughout the assembly (but those are global variables or "variable studio variables" and…

Exporting assemblies with mate data intact
TL;DR: I want to export an assembly so that I can import it to an animation program while retaining mates This at first seems like a silly question to be asking. A few months ago I was working on a project that involved analyzing an assembly I made with OnShape in MATLab's Simulink program. As I was learning to use the…

Part mate connectors are disappearing in assembly
Hi, I have been using Onshape for a while now and have encountered a weird and frustrating issue. I have defined mate connectors on some parts as shown in the images below: In both cases the mate connectors are at the bottom of the feature tree. When I import these parts into my assembly these mate connectors disappear.…

Assembly won't move into place with a second mate. Both mates become corrupted.
Hi. I'm having trouble with assembling two pentagons together along beveled edges. My intension is create a dodecahedron. I am able to create a mate and the two parts move into position. When I put in a second mate, however it ignores the first mate and moves to correspond to the second mate. This also corrupts both the…

Export an Assembly as sperate STEP files for each Part?
How can one export an Assembly ( or download to a local disk) as separate STEP files for the Parts in the assembly

how to constrain part to be horizontal in assembly
Bit of a whacky case... I'm creating a jig to cut a compound angle on 1" angle iron part (strut). The saw only has one degree of angle (miter saw not compound miter). But by dialing the right miter angle and "pivoting" the angle iron along it's long axis on the saw bed, I can get the same effect. Problem is I need to…

How to choose different length for standard content bolt?
Hi All! I am creating an assembly and following some plans that require an M5x14mm Hex Head Bolt. However when inserting said hardware I am not given a 14mm length option. Is there a way I can insert the part I want from the standard content library? Or do I have to separately import a bolt with the specifications I want…

Can't delete mates or move parts in an assembly ?
I sure this is obvious with some more experience than I have. I am trying to modify some parts in a larger assembly (Cloned from elsewhere). I can do this on some of the individual parts ok but my issue though is with the mates in the assembly and propositioning of the parts. For example in the assembly V6 Titan there is…

Can I have unique names for assemblies and their mates that are created via circular pattern.
Hi, I've got a couple of subassemblies stacked and connected via revolute mates into a "tower". I have no problem duplicating this aggregate assembly using Assembly Circular Pattern, resulting in a few towers. However, I've got the mates uniquely named in tower1 (dof_tower1_a, dof_tower1_b, ...), and would like to be able…

Following a curved path in an assembly
If I want the vehicle to follow the curved rail (blue), what kind of joints can I use? I have tried using my imagination but cannot see, how this can be made to move in Onshape. In other tools, I can imagine creating a mate between the wheels that then "slides" along the curved path. I will likely make a revolute joint…
