Featurescript: Square Sweep
I modified Konstantin S's circle sweep document for my own personal use because I needed a square version for some of my builds and I couldn't find a feature script that did that; I'm posting it here just so anyone else can also benefit from this. Why is it not possible to "Derive" a part from "Standard content"?
Is this an oversight, or is there a good reason why data in the library from "Standard content" cannot be derived into a Part Studio? Note: When a part is imported from an external supplier via an Onshape App its geometry can be modified and it can be derived.

Possible to rename a part included in an assembly?

Sweeping a profile around body while keeping profile normal and tangent to face of body?
I can usually figure this stuff out but this one has me stumped. I have a revolved body (a spindle of sorts) and I'm trying to cut a V-notch the length of the spindle, while that notch rotates 3/4 away around the body. I've tried several ways, but none of the ways seem to get me what I need. I've looked around the forums…

Routing curve, how to wrap around control points instead of cutting the corner
I want to model a thin control cable from a servo that routes through pulley, bellcranks, etc. So I'm using polyline with control points that are the mate connectors of the pulleys, and then setting the radius to whatever the pulley radius would be. BUT, the radius cuts the corner. Is there a setting to make the curve go…

Mate overdefines the assembly
I am trying to make it so that the three steps are connected to the two beams either side with revolute mates. This way if one of the steps is rotated the other two rotate with it. But when I go to do the very last revolute mate it says that it overdefines the assembly. Whats going wrong?…

Does anyone know how to do this?
I'm trying to create a circle with "waves" extruding from it, the top model is what it should look like if the circle was stretched out into a line. How to remove overlapping sketch lines and sketch to dxf producing multiple layers
I'm creating a design for laser cutting fabrication. I'm usually exporting a surface face to DXF, which works great. For a certain cut, I wanted to use a sketch, as it efficiently produces the dxf to cut multiple faces together that aren't on a shared face, but a shared sketch. I found that the dxf file had two layers,…

How to 'edit' or view student submissions with suppress on

Passing a variable from Part Studio A to Part Studio B
Hi, I am wondering if there was a way to pass a variable from a Part Studio to another one in the same document, at least passing only its value... I would expect that a Derive would work, but nope. New Custom Feature: EZ Wire
I'm still playing with the UI and logic rules, but basically it's a way to quickly route wire/pipe/cable when exact positioning isn't critical (like for our robots, when we need a basic path). The example below shows a path that would require 7 points in RoutingCurve, but mine does it with just 3 MC positions.…
